| | This was too advanced for Teri, but I really enjoyed it. Color is really, really pale red - almost rose. Initially this showed a really off-putting stinky nose, but it improved radically with air, showing advanced maderized/sherry notes, but also roses and strawberries. On the palate the tannins are simply gone, and this has become just "wine", with a broad velvety mouth feel, some sweet fruit, and (just!) enough acidity to keep things going. Finish is short and pleasant. Overall this is certainly well on the downside of development, it lacks complexity and structure, but it's an enjoyable and interesting drop nonetheless. | | | |
