This is a well-priced wine under $20 that I purchased at Whole Foods. It is rated 91 points by the WS but I'm not quite there with that rating. Regardless it is worth a purchase.
- 2001 Malenchini Bruzzico Toscana IGT - Italy, Tuscany, Toscana IGT (10/16/2006)
Dark clear purple in color; 80% cab and 20% sangio; The cab flavors predominate in this blend but the sangio cherries and a touch of violets lurk in the background. This is a well-priced Tuscan wine with some complexity and balance. There is just enough acidity in the wine that it matched well with food. It might even continue to improve short-term in the bottle. [~$17; Drinking well now but could hold a bit] (90 pts.)
