Medium ruby colour to a pink rim. Pretty traditional nose of tobacco, rose petals and berries. Nice wine with cherries and candied red fruit. Medium-full bodied with a disappointing short finish. 86 points.

Azzurri Celebratory Dinner (Tuscany Cafe, Toronto): Dark garnet with ruby tinges. Aromas of licorice, tar, violets, black plums, hint of alcohol. Medium-bodied with violets, spice, plums, and cherry notes. Moderate finish, 35s, with red fruit. (90 pts.)
