| Medium nose of herb leaf, tobacco, blackberry, spice. Medium plus body, intensity with medium-to-medium plus acidity. Black berry, dried cherry, oak spice, cedar and herbs. Medium tannin, balanced, the best showing yet. 88pts. | | |

| For a wine that goes north of $130 per bottle this wine has fallen down hard in recent vintages. | | | |

| I agree, I work at an italian ristorante and my boss tried the 01 Sassicaia with me. I was not utterly blown away by it, as its reputation often heralds. If I pick one up, I'll be looking for the 98... | | | |

| Has anyone tried the '98 lately? I have a bottle and I am thinking of opening it soon.
