Light green and white, medium nose of wet straw, minerals, green apple and peach. Medium body, medium intensity and acidity. More wet hay and straw on the palate with some waxy fruits. Balanced. 84pts.

Note 100% sure this is the same wine as Jason tasted but here goes:

2005 Vietti Roero Arneis - Italy, Piedmont, Alba, Roero (1/6/2007)
WIML89,PURPLE88,NOWA,NOWS

Tasted January 6, 2007 at home. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Weiss Wein glass. Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of fresh cut flowers, lime, dried apricots with some soft and pleasant spice notes. Flavors of apricots, light honey notes, pear and just a slight mineral streak underneath. Good acidity with medium body. Pretty good finish as well. Drink now. Based on our local purchase price of $18.69 I’d say the value here is recommended. (89 pts.)
