Tasted April 20, 2006 at and offline at Danielle’s Osteria in Dallas, TX. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Magnum glass. Dark plum color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of black berries, anise and sandlewood. Flavors of Bing cherries, red cherries and melted licorice. Firm tannins, good acidity and still tight as a drum. Hold at least five years before trying again. Value is recommended. (92 pts.)

| Had this last week for the 1st time since release and it performed extremely well. It had large quantities of red fruits with cherry at the forefront. The nose has blossomed since I had it last. Fresh cut flowers of violets, and a touch of menthol. At the 1 hour mark in the decanter the fruit and tannins became more integrated and juicy in nature. Do not bother drinking this wine without food at this point. Have 2 left. 93pts.Â
