Crimson, garnet in color in the glass. Slight nose of black pepper, cayenne, and mocha. Like previously mentioned by James Suckling, 03 Barberas do not have much tannins to them. Light on the palate. Complexity slightly lacking but who cares? This wine accompanied my spaghetti and meat sauce very well which makes it a very food friendly wine. Recommended on a QPR basis. BD88 | | | |
