Since I'm yet undecided about what to do with the case I reserved I bought one to try this evening, 22€.
Decanted about two hours, nose is sweet, open, rich, full of berries, spices, leather, no signs of woody vanilla or leafy merlot scents.
In the mouth it is big but there's a bitter note, definitely wood, that takes a lot of the charme out of an otherwise great wine, that's full, complex, balanced, rich and very long.
After another two hours in the decanter the bitter note is still there, but the texture is faring better in covering it, maybe it's just a matter of time for this note to disappear, will check tomorrow.
If it wasn't for this bitter taste I would define this as a great wine, however for those used to a touch of wood it's a very special bottle already as it is.
Still undecided wether I should buy my case.

If I am not sure whether I should buy a case of a given wine then that tells me I shouldn't buy the case. There is too much wine out there I want to buy cases of for me to buy a case when I am uncertain.

Right Jones,
but there's always the opportunity to flip or trade it. What if RMP gives it a 95?

The secondary market is hurting nowadays for everything but the bluest of blue chips. I totally hear what you are saying but a lot of the easy money has been drained out of the system right now.

Maybe for 22€ a bottle is worth the risk anyway, the wine is really good, the glass of tonight (yeah, I'm a slow drinker, but I had to try a few Prosecco for the company's Christmas dinner) showed better, and the bitter note is gone.
BTW Le Colture makes a very good Prosecco Dry, called Cruner. Reccommended.

You are right 22 euros isn't much cash in any event.
