| Allowed to breathe for about 1.5 hours, not decanted. Beautiful medium garnet colour to pink/orange rim. Aromas of tar, meat, dried flowers, truffles, leather, wet earth, anise, spice. Full-bodied, wonderful wine with currant, plums, tar, anise. Tannins integrated perfectly. Moderate finish, 30-35s, with red fruit, spice. Drinking very well right now; no reason wait on this, but it will hold for another few years at least. 91 points (05/13/2005). | | |

Dark garnet colour with a tad of bricking. Aromas of cherry, roses, dried violets, tar, hints of truffle and orange rind. Medium-bodied, still good structure, tannins, with red cherry, leather, orange rind, earth, and hints of dried raspberry. Moderate finish, 35-40s, with cherry, leather, and truffle. Great showing. Still has lots of life left. (92 pts.) Posted from CellarTracker | | | |
