| - 2002 Pecchenino Dolcetto di Dogliani San Luigi - Italy, Piedmont, Dolcetto di Dogliani (2/25/2005)
Still young and fruity with black cherries and touch of coffee. Good and tasted completely different from most wines. If I tasted it blind I would have guessed CA Central Coast grenache or other Rhone varietal. Well-priced at under $20. (90 pts.)

| I've said it before, and I'll say it again - Pecchenino is my favourite Dolcetto producer.
Since the 2002 was a difficult vintage, they didn't make any of their Siri d'Jermu, my favourite of their Dolcetti. | | | |
