| This is a wine that I would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap Brunello, it's just that good. This producer never disapoints and this wine is no excpeption.
This amazed me with its wild nose of ripe fruit that poured out of the bottle. The nose was complicated by the addition of vanilla, fresh split fire wood and just a touch of dried thyme. The rich fruity component of this wine is kept in check by the strong but polished body that keeps it in excellent balance. It displays a very long and concentrated finish. This is the ultra ripe internationally styled sangiovese that new world producers are trying to make but usually don't achieve.
I rate this wine at 91 points. It was purchased for $19. It is an excellent buy and a great alternative for people who shudder at the thought of paying out the wazoo for good Tuscan Wines.

| Unfortunately I wasn't as impressed with this bottle of wine. I found Pertimali's rosso to have more flavor and personality. Perhaps I had a bad bottle - I have 2 more Ciacci Rossos, so I will find out later on. | | | |

| By the way, just thought I'd point out that Parker rated this wine 91 pts and Suckling gave it an 85. I think sometimes JS goes out of his way to give poor scores to wines that Parker likes. TCK | | | |

| After reviewing his scores on some 2000 Bordeaux, I know Suckling does. | | | |

| As far as I can see he has never rated any of Riccardo Cotarella's wines over 90 pts it makes me laugh. He mentioned in that thread on WS that he and Parker were friends, the implication was obviouse. The recent Campoleone got 88pts and the Montiano about the same. It's like kicking a dead horse but this is obviouse. I don't think that he's cheating and not tasting blind, I think he just knows what Parker likes and has trained himself to score those wines poorly. Jones, having trouble locating the Favius. | Or maybe his palate is attuned to differant characters. Not agreeing with his scores or not but mayhap a thought. | | | |

| winex.com usually has it. It is only a five hundred case production and Parker gave the 99 a 94 or thereabouts so maybe it is all gone. I am willing to part with one at my cost if you come up completely dry. | | | |

| Thanks for the offer, Let me keep looking. Besides, I don't know if you'd be putting yourself in a bad spot shipping to New Jersey or not.
