Day 1. Medium ruby red to a rose rim. Aromas of vanilla, black cherry, dark cocoa, black plums, and dried flowers. Medium bodied with crushed red fruits, earth, and spice. Very fresh tasting. Moderate finish, ~25-30s with red fruit. Good Valpo. Uses the ripassa method. Not quite up to par with the Zenato, but still nice. 87 points (10/06/2004).

Day 2. Medium ruby red. Aromas of barnyard funk, cherry, mushrooms, and alcohol. Light-medium bodied with cherry and red fruit. Short finish, ~15-20s with red fruit, alcohol. Completely fell apart overnight. 73 points (10/07/2004).
