This is the first bottle of wine I opened from the stash I lugged back from Italy. This was purchased at I Grandi Vini in Alba for only 20 Euro. I was not disappointed.

Decanted about 1 hour, consumed over next two. Medium garnet colour to a pink/orange rim. Aromas of spice, leather, dried flowers, tar, and orange rind. Medium-full bodied with cherries, earth, leather, dried roses, tar, orange rind, tea leaf. Tannins are integrating nicely, but not fully there yet. Nice finish, ~30-35s with dried flower notes. Will be better in 2-3 years. 92 points (07/24/2004).
