We opened a bottle at a small off-line to have with French provincial food. Powerful wine, supprisingly so for a Languedoc. Lots and lots of fruit, plum and cherry, with notes of leather, spice and minerals with some chocolate notes. Very concentrated and elegant. When we first tasted it everyone commented on how much fruit it had. 92 pts.

I had the 2001 version of this last week, and I didn't think quite as highly of that vintage . I do think that Pic St.-Loup is an up-and-coming area and I'll continue to look for its wines.
