Tasted in Spiegelau Grand Palais Chardonnay glasses during dinner. Wine was not decanted, although was not immediately poured upon removal from cellar. Remained in open bottle for perhaps 20-30 minutes.
Nose of apricots, honey, melons...reminded me of a Muscat based dessert wine. Despite the sweet smelling aromas, the acidity in the wine balanced the richness of the fruits quite well. Wine went extremely well with the foods served (Oysters, Seabass, wild rice, etc.)This is a full bodied wine that is very good now and will likely hold on for some time, although I would not anticipate it improving much, if at all.
89 WDoT points.
Oh my goodness! I think that this may be my first "Tasting Note" on VC. I was hoping for that to be my 1000th post!

And a French wine no less.
