From a 2 day Anniversary Party last month

1966 Krug Vintage (48% PN, 21%PM, 31%CH). The Krug had a deeper and darker nose showing more of a sense of browned apples, some caramel, a touch of cognac and almost a note of vanilla like oakiness. It also exhibited some notes of mushroom and truffles. On the palate it reveals more earthiness with notes of chalk and mineral followed by baked apples and pears, maybe a hint of toffee and nuts on the long finish. The mouthfeel is rich without being heavy although certainly more masculine than the Dom. This bottle is maybe just a touch past its peak.
