From a 2 day Anniversary Party last month

It has a very pretty and still fresh nose of white orchard fruits, a lingering nuttiness, like hazelnut or roasted almonds. It also still has a note of bright citrus which makes it seem so much fresher than a "natural" '73 would be. The palate is just as fresh showing a doughier and bread like flavor, the intense autolytic mineral character and a very lively mousse. The finish is especially nutty and evolved, bordering on mocha and gingersnaps. As pretty and as fresh as this wine is, I believe it to be almost at its peak, the late disgorging has kept it fresh but it will not add any ripeness of fruit that wasn't already there. Nonetheless, it is nicely complex and lovely; I would drink it within the next 3-5 years.
