From a 2 night anniversary party last month.

Disgorged on 10/14/99, typically made from 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay. As you can imagine it was still amazingly fresh for being 22 years old because of such a recent disgorgement date. It has the typical broad mineral and buiscuity nose along with fresh notes of berry and lime fruit. The palate was full than with flavors of sourdough, creamy applesauce and a reasonably long finish. It was a lively wine but lacking in the depth of a truly great vintage. I also seem to prefer the RD versions with more time in bottle after the disgorgement date. This one seemed so lively that it may need time to settle. Give it 2-3 years but not much more, it is merely good.
