| Gorgeous light gold straw color. Clear complexion.
Had a nose of Rubber Cement, New Tires, Petrol.
Big bodied, with a little acidity.
I found this bottle be very interesting. Even though I didn't like it, I was intrigued by its nose. Others found it repulsive, but I was happy to have experienced it.

| Why didn't you like it? Just curious as I've snarked a half case of the 2001 vintage of this wine. | | | |

| Not exactly my style of Riesling. I didn't hate it, but I probably wouldn't buy another bottle of it. Had no fruit in it at all.

This is their basic Riesling offering despite the high faluting sounding name. It's usually an 87-90 pt wine. But 2000 was stellar in Alsace. I believe this is a dry Riesling though the level of Botrytis was excellent in 2000.

| I'm not enamored of dry Rieslings. I think the grape is one of the very best dessert wine grapes in the world. | | | |

| It was a Dry Riesling. Sorry, forgot to have that included in the original. | | | |

| Hey, Parker does it all the time too. I bought a case of a 95 point Gewurtztraminer after reading his write up. He said nothing about sweetness so I figured it was dry. It's a wonderful moderately sweet wine. I figured since your wine had "Reserve" in its name that it might very well be sweet. I'm not a fan of dry Rieslings. | | | |

| OK, I'm now 99% positive that this was an off bottle. Doing a bit of reading since I tried this and I've come to the theory that the aromas I was getting came from ethyl acetate. Ethyl Acetate is formed when acetic acide combines with ethanol in the wine. I'm positive this is what was going on in the bottle. I'm gonna try to see if I can fandangle another bottle from the same wine shop and taste it again. | | | |
