Clear bright golden in color, the delightful nose screams Chenin, with mineral and chalk notes along side lime, apple, and fig aromas. Refreshing on the palate, with good acidity and plenty of ripe fruit on the viscous, off-dry palate. The medium finish is slightly sweet and refreshing, and the 12% alcohol makes this a wonderful aperitif (perfect pairing would be apple slices and walnuts, imo). Excellent value at less than $10 – 90 points, drink over the next 2-3 years.

Ah yes. I remember this wine. Was my first taste of Vouvray a few months ago.

The only drawback that I recall from this bottle was the sweetness level was a bit high. It threw the wine off balance (well, for me).

I tried this Tuesday night and thought it was very good. Certainly for the price, $9 at a market in Poulsbo, WA, a real bargain.

This wine offers up a terrific nose of white flowers (acacia), citrus, and lemon. The fruit is pure and clean, and the wine is balance with a medium-long, satisfying finish. My #1 wine of the flight, 92 points, and a hellova bargain.
