I purchased this at Premier Cru. They were out of the 1996 BdB and said this was pretty good (they were right). Cost was $27.99.

This Champagne comes in a Krug shaped bottle (thin neck with wide base) and a Leroy Nieman painting on the bottle (kind of like the Tattinger flower bottles).

The Champagne inside had a huge nose upon initial opening which really suprised me (pleasantly). Lots of apples on the nose initially with some toasted notes in the mouth. I was only going to drink half the bottle but I think I'll finish it by noon if I'm not careful. Awe what the heck it will be gone by then.

Skwid gives it one thumb up (the 1996 BdB gets two thumbs up and would get more thumbs but that's all I have to put up :-)
