Part of this months bubble tasting.

Retails around $100 NZD.

This rich wine had a softer texture on the palate than I expected and displayed a rainbow of yeasty flavours including bisuity notes. The fruit dominance of this wine was limited to softer hints of peach, green strawberrys and mellow apple hints. Good stuff- 93 points.

  • N.V. Pommery Champagne Rose Brut - Champagne, Champagne, France (9/10/2004)

    Very pale copper gold color with medium mousse. Balanced and pleasant with crisp strawberry flavors but not exceptional, especially for the price.

    [~$50; Served with caviar] (88 pts.)
