2000 Sigolsheim Riesling Grand Cru Mambourg -- this is from a very large co-op. I've had an experience like this quite recently with a different wine: all the right credentials on the label, but terribly disappointing once the cork is pulled. Great vintage, good vineyard, but lesser wine, with muted fruit flavors of apple and pear, a bit thin in texture, and a finish that's as short as the nose is reticent. Objectively, maybe around 78-9 pts. Take price and my expectations into account, and it's more like 58-9 pts. Avoid.
