WS 94; Winetex 95 Great vintage champagne is one of my absolute favorite wine experiences. I bought this for the New Orleans Mag Party based on Jones’ positive review in the first Wine Review.
On the nose there was bread dough and a touch of apples and lemons. Seaquam’s comment was “Granny Smith apples”. There was lemon-lime and vanilla as well as a slight tropical note (not mango but similar). A bit of honey on the finish with spices. The structure was almost perfect. It’s not a heavyweight in character like a Krug or Bollinger (not that there is anything wrong with that..). It was excellent champagne!
Please PM me if you happen to see any 750s of this wine around in your local stores.
