Alas this wasn't as good as many non-vintage Rosés at this point. It will probably improve but at $350+ it could be an expensive experiment. Someone will have to let me taste again if they want to convince me. No score!
- 1996 Moët & Chandon Champagne Cuvée Dom Pérignon Rosé - France, Champagne (6/18/2008)
Light copper color; This had lackluster aromas fruit aromas with some spice notes. Not much going on on the palate. Acidic and very dry. I tried a pour from two different bottles to see if I could get anything out of it but nada. Perhaps this wine needs time to unwind but I was expecting more expressiveness. Agree with others on the reductive character that did not subside. No score as I couldn't get anything out of this. Tasted at an industry Dom Perignon Tasting.
