I started a new thread on this because the previous thread went back to the regular 1990 DP vs. the Oenothèque. This champagne screamed for caviar. Classy stuff.
- 1990 Moët & Chandon Champagne Cuvée Dom Pérignon Oenothèque - France, Champagne (6/18/2008)
Light-medium gold color; Toasty and slight lemon aromas with superb hazlenut, spice and citrus flavors. Notable for its exceptional depth, complexity and fine mousse. Similar to the regular '90 but with added complexity. Perhaps a touch lighter weight than the regular 90, hard to say. Tasted at an industry Dom Perignon Tasting (thank you!); Probably disgorged in 2003 but I did not catch the date on all of the bottles. A WOW wine. (95 pts.)
