Tasted 20th July 1999

Colour: Very pale
Nose: soft light nose orientating towards peach and nutty characteristices. A slight taut note is evident suggesting high acids. Vanilla and lemon also evident.
Palate: High acids dominate initial palate flavours, then the softer oaken notes come through opulling the sweeter vanilla onto the palate. Length is good and the finish is exquisite with an aftertaste of hazelnuts and vanilla.
Overall: A beautifully made wine with elegance and structure- 92 points. Drinking window - 2003-2005

Made me think, not many Alsatian posts here...certainly when compared to ebob
