This needs Pinot food to shine.

  • N.V. André Clouet Champagne Silver Brut - France, Champagne, Bouzy, Champagne (1/24/2008)
Very dry, no-dosage champagne. With time it opened up a bit - the fruit flavors reflect 100% Pinot Noir - berries and red apple flavors. Not an apertif champagne as it needs food to shine. Very large bubbles and mousse. It was a champagne that was hard to get a handle on. At ~ $40 it is on the borderline of value. (89 pts.)

Isn't there like a cheap $5 bubbly called André as well? For a sec I thought you were slumming, Tex!
