Philippe Chartogne produces wines from 12ha in the Montagne des Reims with cru sites in Merfy, Chenay and Saint Thierry. Producing 6700 cases annually from vines planted 50% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 10% Meunier on chalk with sandstone, averaging 25 years of age. The Montagne de Reims is a horseshoe shaped area with a variety of expositions, made up of soils of Cretaceous chalk with mixtures of clay and sand. The village is planted to 56% Pinot noir, 28% Chardonnay and 16% Meunier. | | | |
