With 13ha in the Valle de la Marne, Jean-Baptiste Geoffroy produces 10.800 cases from vines planted in the Premier Cru’s of Cumieres, Hautvillers, Damery and Fleury-la-Riviere. With soils of limestone, clay-limestone and clay-flint, his vines are planted to 19% Chardonnay, 39% Meunier and 42% Pinot Noir. Vallee de la Marne is planted to 63% Meunier, 27% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay. Top soil is limestone, clay, marl, sand and flint with sub-soil of Cretaceous chalk. |
