2004 Domaine Tempier Bandol - France, Provence, Bandol (5/6/2007)
WIML92,PURPLE92,NOWA,WS91

Tasted May 6, 2007 at home. Opened and splash decanted about 1 hour before serving in a Spiegelau Authentis Magnum glass. Garnet to dark garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of cassis, earthy, black berries and maybe some Kirsch. Flavors of black cherries, black currants, dark plums and some white pepper. Medium to vibrant acidity, firm tannins, medium to full bodied. Hold. Recommended. (92 pts.)

The 2004 is the best regular Tempier rouge I've tasted in recent vintages, really nice wine.
