It's another buy it if you can find it bubbly.

  • N.V. Egly-Ouriet Champagne Extra Brut Vieillissment Prolongé Grand Cru - France, Champagne (3/24/2007)
92+; Disgorged May 2007; A fine champagne with brioche, hazelnut, smoke, and red apple aromas and flavors. Great complexity. This champagne would do well evaluated against many single vintage champagnes. I would buy this again under $75. From Josh Raynolds (IWC) - "V.P." stands for vieillisement prolonge, or prolonged aging: this is a blend of wines back to 1995. (92 pts.)

We almost mauled the UPS guy for this one.  This is terrific champagne.

This bottle just wasn't close to the others we've had.  At ~$85 I expect a better champagne than this.

JT - Nope but my records are spotty. And to make it more complicated I ordered two lots - one from North Berkeley and one from Hi-Time in So Cal. Unfortunately I wasn't keeping good records although I know the first lot from NB was all good as far as I can tell (the original TN) or I wouldn't have re-ordered. Hi-Time stickered their lot so I can tell which was which if I pay attention.

I have two more bottles with different disgorge dates so I'll be sure to report on these.

Thanks - I have a few as well. I'll post TNs when I pop them (with disgorgment dates).

I'll do my best to remember to check my disgorgement dates as well.
