This is way too lean and acidic for a non-champagne lover crowd.  A good price point but they probably wouldn't go for it.

  • N.V. Montaudon Champagne Brut - France, Champagne (3/18/2007)
This champagne has a very lean, acidic profile with mostly green apple fruit. Not much in the way of toast or brioche flavors in this one. A good value in champagne under $30. (88 pts.)

Ditto.

Just to add that WS rated it a 90. Still, a pretty good bottle under $30 as Winetex, better known as the CEO of the Champagne Slut Club, posted above. :-)
