Chateau de LANCYRE Pic St. Loup Vieilles Vignes 2000 Coteaux de Languedoc 13,5% (mostly Syrah, I assume, with some Grenache thrown in as a guess)

Poor cork. Pretty wine. Long stcky legs. Muted earthy fruit, faint but gorgeous perfume, spicy, peppery nose with meaty cherry fruit. Pleasant savory mouth. With a touch more intensity this could be outstanding. Very elegant and classy but lacks a bit of size. Great food wine for 7E anyway. 88+
