2002 Didier Dagueneau Pur Sang -- a little swirling releases some citrus and fresh hay notes; in the mouth, this is all steel and rocks, real mineral power, super clean, with grass, lemon, and roasted nut flavours, perfect balance of acid and fruit; finishes long and refreshing. There isn't a cream sauce thick enough to make this wine blink. About 93-94 pts.

2002 Didier Dagueneau Pouilly-Fumé Pur Sang - France, Loire Valley, Upper Loire, Pouilly-Fumé (5/18/2007) WIML91, NOWA,WS96 Tasted May 18, 2007 at an offline. Opened and served immediately. Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of lychee, lemon grass and a little grapefruit. Flavors of grapefruit dominate. Light acidity and body. Seems a step or so behind previous bottles. Drink now. (91 pts.)

2002 Didier Dagueneau Pouilly-Fumé Pur Sang - France, Loire Valley, Upper Loire, Pouilly-Fumé (8/17/2007) WIML92,NOWA,WS96 Tasted August 17, 2007 at a SWILL offline. Opened and served immediately. Identical to my last tasting. Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of lychee, lemons and grapefruit. Flavors of grapefruit and lemons. Light to medium acidity and body. Drink now. (92 pts.)
