2003 Pierre Boniface Apremont Vin de Savoie (Jacquere)

Virtually no color at all, save for a light straw hue. Crystal clear complexion.
Nose of Minerals, Golden Delicious Apples, White Flowers, Dew
Mouth watering acidity, medium bodied, quite juciy. 15-20 second finish. Nice wine. Pretty slammin for the price (12$).

At times this is one of my house white wines. It's good wine that both winos and non-winos allike appreciate.

Boniface has another wine, the Rousette de Savoie, that is equally good. They are almost like winter and summer versions.

From my experience last year in the Haute Savoie (the French Alps), Apremonts are a good buy across the board if you are looking for an easy-drinking, light, crisp white at a great QPR (we paid 4-5 euro per bottle at the local store ). The Boniface is one of the better ones available in the U.S. and while a tad more expensive, still quite reasonable given the quality.

I remember the `02 lastyear that I had, and was kinda fun to compare it to the `03. There's definatly more aromatics coming out of the `03 (atypical of the vintage?). I could easily seeing it being a house white. Juicy, good stuff. I was amazed to actually find one in Napa.
