1990 Bollinger Champagne Grande Anee -- darker than the Krug GC that was served alongside it, sort of a tarnished copper colour; quite a bit of funk on the nose, like sweat, didn't go away over 2 hours but wasn't hard to get used to it; lots of fine bubble, excellent acidity, earthy/mushroomy flavours, somewhat subdued fruit, pear liqueur, touch of bitterness akin to apple skin, hints of spice; very clean, refreshing finish. App. 91-93 pts., maybe more for fans of funk.

Not my style, but I can see where it might pair well with some foods, maybe Roquefort cheese, etc.
