Bollinger 1996 Grand Annee Rose

This was tasted at Corkage’s Dinner of the Gods thing on August 21, 2004. Stems were great. Food was otherworldly. Company and conversation fantastic.

I’ll echo Jaimetown’s comments here. A darker rose than I expected, this elegant bubbly was quite good, apple followed by some nuttiness and a finish that reminded me of a tad of malt. Just a tad. Nice.

Wine Spectator just gave this 95 Points and said it was best after 2006. Time to cellar a few away.
