Tasting notes from the Oct. 2003 BAWE Old World vs. New World Pinot Tasting...

Good color – a slightly cloudy dark ruby red, with a nice nose of tart cherries, earth, and vibrant fruit. Sadly, the fruit didn’t seem to carry through on the palate, showing only light fruit on a fairly lean, acidic frame. Light tannic structure and a short finish indicate this wine is ready for early consumption. My #3 wine of the flight. 84 points.
