There's been some Burg vs westcoast Pinot discussion lately, so decided to open this one. I immediately siphoned 1/2 bottle into an empty 375ml bottle for the second day.

Day one: High level of acids. Noticable but interesting tannins (but I like a bit of tannin so might be too high for some). Burgundy cherries and raspberries. Too much acid but was ok with dinner (grilled trout, potatoes, broccoli raab)

Day two: The fruit filled out considerably, balancing the acids out quite a bit. Still had a little tannin but, like I said, I liked em. Cherries, raspberries and some nice earth. Was nice during and after dinner. The fruit started fading a bit towards the end. Made me wonder how long it should be aged (but also not sure the fading means it won't age cuz I don't have enough burg aging experience). Anyway, I'd rate this nice but not outstanding. But that ain't bad for whatever I paid for it (can't remember).
