Purchased on closeout from Premier Cru, this was marked down from $25 to $8, so I had to give it a go....

Dark golden in color, the lively nose immediately presents copious smoky oak & minerals, along with peach and fig notes. Still fresh and lively, if a bit over-oaked for my taste, the bright acidity is still strong and there is sweet fruit peering out from the oak veil. A pleasant wine that should be drunk up now, 87 points.
