| Lovely golden color, vivid and inviting in the glass. Decadent, heady nose with a trace of smoke. In the mouth it's in the 'soft fruit' camp, offering pear and lichi. Very present but well-integrated oak. Dead sexy white. Recommended. | | |

| Scott - thanks for the white burg note. They've been few and far between lately for some reason. I just retrieved all of my '98 white burgs from the cellar and am about to commence drinking very soon. | | | |

| Winetex,
It's summertime, the living is not so easy, bring on the Chardonnay. Not sure if it's representative of the vintage, but this grand cru was begging to be drunk now. Enjoy your '98s.

| I have consumed all my '98 white burgs. The '99s are getting consumed within the next year. The '00's seem more age worthy (in general) to me so I will take about 4 yrs or so to consume them.

| Darnit Keith - I forgot you signed up with your last name. The '98s seemed to be peaking if not declining in some instances. Time to obtain lobster and crab for food matches.
Cult of the White burg - drink up those '98s. I haven't tried many of the '98 Grand Crus lately but as Keith notes this Corton seemed ready.

| OK, I need a TN description definition please. Lichi? I know it's a fruit, but what is it similar to? | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

| Lichi or Lychee:
It is small, round (about the size of a walnut Chinese fruit having a thin brittle shell enclosing a sweet jellylike white pulp and a single seed. I would call it a sweet grapey jelly feel.
