A singleton that I'm glad we opened as this wine probably won't continue to develop. If you have any of these check in on them. Although this is a cliche it did not seem very Burgundian.
- 2003 Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Cherbaudes - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru (5/24/2008)
Dark ruby red color; Fairly ripe raspberry, cherry and smoke aromas and flavors. Low enough in acid that it might have been slightly flabby. Short finish. This might be drinking early for a Premier Cru site (probably a vintage issue). Did not seem like a long-term hold. (89 pts.)
