We tried a nice little Burgundy tonight. I tasted this wine before buying it and thought it was good, clearly not great. It was a very clear red and had a nice nose of cherries and spice. Initially it tasted like a cherry lifesaver which most people might not like. After a 20 minutes or so it changed into a spicy, brightly cherried burg. The finish was clean but short as you might expect from a wine of this caliber. Mr. Winetex says to note that this wine disappeared with extreme prejudice (as in very quickly…). It was light in alcohol at 12.8%.
Yes it was expensive for the quality level but truly kicked the pants off many of the US pinots we’ve tried lately in this price range. Big
JB – if you can find this you would probably like it.

| How much coin are we talkin' here? Because the Morey St. Denis village wine goes for $34 around here. I paid $22 for it, though.

| Darn it - I left out the top line with the $$. Edited now. $25 for the Bourgogne.
$22 for the Morey St. Denis is a steal. I paid double that. You bad man. | | | |
