| '00 J. BOILLOT PULIGNY MONTRACHET CLOS DE LA MOUCHERE rp94 - brought by jb - Color is pale yellow. Nose is somewhat muted, but reveals pear and peach. Zippy citrus and lime on the palate. Lively finish. jb Rating 91. Wine was revisited 2 hrs later and had improved markedly. Showing more vanilla bean and carmel flavors. Now jb rating 93

| Beautiful weather on Saturday prompted me to open this with friends. It was decanted for 1 hour.
Jean Boillot 2000 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Clos de la Mouchere
Striking gold color. Thick aromas of apples, nutskins, high-quality oak and tons of white cholocate. Thick, almost oily in texture and body. A full throttle Puligny with great precision with a finish that goes on and on. I love it - still, I think I drank it too early... will revisit in a few years. 95 points.

| Glad to see this wine is doing well, jamie. I have 3 left and am trying very hard to lay off them until 2005, 2007 and 2009.

| Sounds like it is maturing nicely. It was excellent 21 months ago (thanks, jb) and showed better then with time in the glass. You picked up a real winner, jb. | | | |

| 2007-2009 sounds about right. My other bottle is hidden deep in my cellar to avoid temptation.
jb, have you had other vintages of this particular vineyard?

| No. But I was considering buying some of the 2002. Unfortunately, the price has escalated to a point where I'm crying "uncle". I think it is now around $85-$90 each. Too rich for me.

| Indeed, it has become quite expensive. I think I bought the 2000 for $60. | | | |
