Another in a very long string of very good red burgundies. In fact, I can't think of a 'bad' 2005 red burgundy I've tried. Sure, I've had my share of slightly disappointing wines so far (mostly considering the price to quality), but I must be batting 0.900 in terms of sheer enjoyment.

Slightly crunchy red fruits, clear and clean composure, and so well balanced. Medium bodied with good length.

At $28 this represents a good (but not great) value. I'll lay the other few bottles away for 5-6 years before trying again while the big(ger) boys in the cellar continue their maturation.
