Gold and green with a moderate nose of oyster shells, brine, with light whiffs of lemon zest. Medium body, moderate complexity ( for the nose, high for the palate), high acidity and long length. More brine, sea spray, oyster shell with a lemon-lime accent and faint pears. Sometimes I enjoy the 1er Cru because they don't see the same elevage (ie oak treatment) as a lot of the Grand Cru. It is nice to get the different expressions etc. 88pts.
