  • 2000 Jean Pillot et Fils Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru (5/3/2007)
    The previous bottle showed so poorly that I delayed opening this one. This was a white burgundy in a style that only white burg fans like. Although there is lots of fruit - pears - this bottle was about the minerality and bone dry finish. Interesting in its balance and at long last integration of oak. If I had more I would put the remaining bottles in the queue. (91 pts.)
