At first the oak was very pronounced on the nose and the wine was tightly wound. With a couple of hours of air, however, the oak integrated with the fruit and the wine revealed terrific white Burgundy qualities (with a more modern flare). Star fruits, Asian pears, and brown spice with creaminess married to a great minerality that you just can't find in CA Chards. This has pleanty of life ahead of it and I bet it will be better in 4-5 years. Still, once it integrates this wine was very good. 92.5(+)
