| WOW! If you want to know what DRC smells like but don't want to pay through the nose, get this. I absolutely would have pegged this as DRC had I not seen the bottle. Dark, chocolate covered wild cherries, blueberries, gobs of brown spices -- imagine the smell of brown sugar, but not really sweet; forrest floor. Man, I could have just sat there smelling the wine. Of course, as is always the case with Burgundy, particularly young Burgundy, the palate was not up to the nose. And the finish lacked a little grip. This is largely due to the age of the wine, I think. In 6 years I bet this is nearly seamless. As it is, though, a 95 point nose and a 91 point palate (after quite a bit of air). This will probably hit 95 points overall in 6-7 years. Now: 93+
